Pixel art can be divided into different types based on common topic, settings of the art.
According to the size of lines one can differ pixel art:
- Single-pixel art (outline width is 1 pixel)
- Two-pixel art (outline width is 2 pixels)
- Three-pixel art (outline width is 3 pixels), etc.
By the number of colors there are:
- 4-bit arts (8 colors)
- 8-bit arts (16 colors)
- 16-bit arts (32 colors), etc.
According to the canvas size:
- 16x16 pixels (the most popular)
- 32x32 pixels
- 64x64, etc.
Also canvas could and have different lateral length, not necessary square.
